ProxMED™: The Solution

ProxMED is today’s solution for addressing many common problems with which modern healthcare facilities struggle daily.

ProxMED currently includes four software modules:

ProxAccess™ (available Q4 2010) – Automates application sign-on/off, launch, and initial starting-point context - making EMR, PACs and other applications’ access effortless, efficient, and simple.

ProxTrax™ (available Q4 2010) – Offers powerful and highly-accurate personnel & asset location tracking, as well as significant real-time and recorded time & motion studies, and powerful alert & alarm functions – enabling capital savings, ensuring critical personnel are located when needed, allowing the tracking of patients as they move about a facility, and the protection of infants, Alzheimer patients, and others requiring constant monitoring.

ProxTelem™ (coming soon) – Automates and greatly enhances patient telemetry and monitoring, storing the data for later analysis, and lowering costs so substantially that telemetry, for the first time, becomes an option for every patient in a hospital – the result being to raise the value and capability of telemetry services to entirely new levels.

ProxRec™ (coming soon) – Revolutionizes EMR/caregiver/patient integration by enabling patients to maintain a portion (or potentially all) of their medical records in their own PROX – enabling automated registration and checkout, providing auto record-load during examinations, providing a simple EMR-to-EMR data bridge, and optionally serving as a significant HIE enhancement.

  • Proxense’s second-generation TruProx solution provides high-payback solutions, leaving RFID, NFC, Wi-Fi and other wireless technologies in the past. TruProx Gen II, ProxNET and ProxMED represent the state-of-the-art in proximity-based applications & infrastructure.
  • ProxNET/ProxMED solution provides solid growth path to future applications (ProxTelem, ProxRec, and more).
  • ProxNET/ProxMED enable basic, simple EMR-to-EMR sharing, and many additional future HIE enhancements and extensions … enabling extremely secure, web-based access of medical records by all valid and authenticated parties, including caregivers, labs, pharmacies, private doctors’ offices, and of course, patients themselves.
